At-home DNA and epigenetic testing in Canada

Compare Methylation and Nutrient DNA Tests

Choose from six focused wellness tests designed to answer different questions about methylation-related genetics, folate processing, vitamin D metabolism, zinc and iron metabolism, or biological age.

Each product has its own scope. The broad DNA Methylation Test examines thousands of inherited genetic locations, while the Biological Age Test evaluates age-related DNA methylation patterns. The focused nutrient tests examine selected genes or variants.

All prices below are regular Canadian-dollar prices. Laboratory turnaround begins after an acceptable sample is received and does not include shipping time.

Test Regular price Main focus Genes or markers Sample process Estimated lab time Details
DNA Methylation Test $419 CAD Broad methylation-related genetic pathway report More than 9,000 genetic locations, including MTHFR, COMT, and MTR At-home oral swab Approximately 10 days View test
Biological Age Test $259 CAD Estimated biological age compared with chronological age Age-related DNA methylation patterns At-home sample with laboratory-portal activation Approximately 10–15 days View test
Folate Metabolism Test — 1 Gene $129 CAD Focused folate-processing genetics MTHFR C677T At-home DNA collection kit Approximately 5–7 working days View test
Folate Metabolism Test — 2 Genes $189 CAD Expanded folate and homocysteine-related genetic context MTHFR C677T and A1298C At-home DNA collection kit Approximately 5–7 working days View test
Vitamin D Metabolism Test $129 CAD Inherited patterns related to vitamin D transport, conversion, and receptor activity Selected variants in genes including GC, CYP2R1, and VDR At-home DNA collection kit Approximately 5–7 working days View test
Zinc and Iron Metabolism Test — 2 Genes $169 CAD Inherited patterns related to zinc and iron processing Selected markers in genes including SLC30A3 and TMPRSS6 At-home DNA collection kit Approximately 5–7 working days View test

Turnaround estimates exclude outbound kit delivery, sample-return shipping, weekends, holidays, recollection, and delays caused by an unsuitable sample.

Choose by goal

Which Test Best Matches Your Question?

The best choice is not always the largest test. Start with the outcome you want and select the report designed to answer that question.

Choose this test When your main goal is What the report provides What it does not directly measure
DNA Methylation Test A broad look at inherited methylation-related genes and pathways Thousands of genetic findings with folate- and methionine-cycle context Current folate, B12, homocysteine, hormone, or nutrient levels
Biological Age Test Estimating biological age using age-related methylation patterns A biological-age estimate and ageing-focused wellness report Life expectancy, a medical diagnosis, or a broad inherited-gene panel
Folate — 1 Gene Checking one common MTHFR variant at the lowest regular price A focused result for MTHFR C677T Current folate, vitamin B12, or homocysteine levels
Folate — 2 Genes Getting more MTHFR detail than the one-gene option Results for MTHFR C677T and A1298C Current homocysteine or nutrient status
Vitamin D Metabolism Understanding inherited patterns related to vitamin D processing Targeted genetic context for vitamin D transport, conversion, and receptor activity Your present vitamin D blood level or vitamin D deficiency
Zinc and Iron Metabolism Understanding inherited patterns related to two essential minerals Targeted genetic context for zinc and iron absorption, transport, and regulation Current ferritin, hemoglobin, serum iron, or zinc levels

Important distinctions

Genetic Testing and Biological-Age Testing Are Different

Inherited Genetic Tests

The DNA Methylation, folate, vitamin D, and zinc-and-iron tests examine inherited DNA variants. These variants generally do not change over time.

  • Provide genetic predisposition or pathway context
  • Do not measure current vitamin or mineral levels
  • Do not directly measure how well a pathway is functioning today

Biological Age Test

The Biological Age Test evaluates age-related DNA methylation patterns rather than providing the same inherited-gene report as the comprehensive DNA Methylation Test.

  • Provides an estimated biological age
  • Requires online kit activation
  • Does not predict lifespan or diagnose disease
Important: These tests are intended for personal education and wellness planning. They do not diagnose vitamin deficiencies, methylation disorders, anemia, osteoporosis, mental-health conditions, or other medical conditions. Do not start, stop, or change medication or supplements based only on a genetic report.
